It is with a heavy heart that I bring you the news of Susan Aceron Gray’s passing. Susan was the voice of Sailor Pluto in the Cloverway English dub of Sailor Moon.
She was battling nasopharyngeal cancer for some time, and we previously shared links to her fundraising page created by her brother to help fund her treatment (there are more details on the fundraising page about the condition). She was with her family in Alberta while undergoing treatment for her cancer and passed on October 9th, 2016.
A Visitation/Prayer will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Thursday and Friday, October 13 and 14, 2016, at Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert, Alberta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., on October 15, 2016 at Annunciation Church, 9420-163 St Edmonton NW.
We remind fans to respect the privacy of her family at this time, but you can send condolences via www.connelly-mckinley.com/condolences.html or you can sign the online guest book of condolences.
Also, her family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Susan’s name to a charity of your choice.
We are saddened to hear that Susan is no longer with us, but we will remember her as the graceful guardian of time and as a woman who really appreciated her fans.

I wish I could take some credit for this; I really do. I wish I could say I called up a bunch of epic-level cosplayers and said “Why don’t y’all dress up as the cast of Sailor Moon for Otakon 2011, INCLUDING Sailor Star Fighter and like five Sailor Neptunes ALONE, and I’ll take lots of pictures?” but no, that’s not how it went down. In reality, the cosplayers collaborated their own awesome photo shoot via the Cosplay.com forums, and we were just lucky enough to get a chance to partake of the greatness. Seriously, more power to these guys and gals for making this happen, I can’t praise them enough. My photographer and I did catch a few cosplayers in between downing Edo Sushi and salivating over original cels we couldn’t afford, but the majority of these images come from the shoot.
Maybe I can’t feel special for initiating this event for the Sailor Moon fan community since I was just a lucky bystander, but on the plus side, who cares about me? You have awesome cosplay to look at, including a downright scandalous amount of Sailor Neptunes! Hit the jump for a costume deluge.

This one gave us a good laugh when we saw it! Poor Jamie Van Eaton loves Wendy’s Baconator, but if he is to stick on his diet, he has to find a low-carb solution to the bun. By accident, he made a mistake when he was making his Atkins’ Revolution Rolls… however this mistake proved to better the recipe, making the buns strong enough to hold the burger and less eggy in flavor! And what, you may ask is the Sailor Moon connection to this story? Simple! He thought he would share the recipe with all his readers, and have the Outer Senshi demonstrate how to make these rolls! Who knew the Outer Senshi liked cooking in their spare time?
