Best Early Third Anniversary Present Ever!
March 8th marks the third anniversary of Moon Chase, and we are always grateful to any other blogs and sites that think our stories are good enough to link to. We had been linked on Kotaku before, but this one was a complete surprise – one of our older stories from last summer got linked on a NSFW post about the new Kirsten Dunst video. Thanks to Brian Ashcraft for thinking of us last week when he posted this – the link set an all-new record high for daily hits on the site – 2646 hits in one day! Usually, normal is anywhere between 400-600 a day for this site. At first, we thought our hit counter was failing until we saw the referrer over and over and over again. Thanks again, Kotaku!
Canadians, Remember to Tune in Friday to Watch Tuxedo Mask!
Toby Proctor (Tuxedo Mask #2) will be making his debut this Friday on CTV’s The Bridge. As of this writing we still have no airdate for when this will premiere on NBC – but the previews of this down and dirty cop drama are all looking good. Check your local listing for airdates!

Some of our readers may remember some of the woes Stephanie Morgenstern (Sailor Venus #1) and her husband Mark Ellis’ Flashpoint had last Fall – new episodes were not scheduled to air on CBS, but CTV went ahead and put the show on its Fall schedule anyway. And it was a success, being one of the highest rated (if not the highest rated) show on Friday nights in Canada! Flashpoint is also special because it helped to open the door for several Canada-U.S. co-productions, another one of them being the upcoming cop drama The Bridge, which features Toby Proctor (Tuxedo Mask #2). CBS has delayed the premiere of this show for the timebeing, but CTV is not going to let these 11 episodes wait until then! The show will premiere with a bang on March 5th at 9PM Eastern Time with a two hour episode (just after the network completes their Vancouver Olympic Broadcast)! Fans who are looking to see Tuxedo Mask in his new law-enforcement role can check out a trailer here – he appears at 1:20 (with a gun, sorry no roses!). For more information on the show’s development and inspiration, check out this post from one of our WGTS friends, TV, Eh?

Stephanie Beard’s (Rini #2) upcoming movie, A True Story: Based on Things That Never Actually Happened …And Some That Did will have an unofficial screening near the Sundance Film Festival in Utah. Stay tuned to the movie’s Facebook page or Twitter feed for details about when and where the movie will be screened.
It looks like fans will have to wait longer for Toby Proctor‘s (Tuxedo Mask #1) upcoming role in The Bridge. No news yet on an official season premiere date, but CBC News is suggesting that The Bridge as well as Stephanie Morgenstern’s (Sailor Venus #1) and Mark Ellis’s Flashpoint may air in the summer on CBS.
Katie Griffin (Sailor Mars #1) appeared in an episode of Cra$h & Burn as Maya Porter, a wealthy owner of a thoroughbred horse that died suddenly under suspicious circumstances. Canadian fans can catch the show on Showcase. The show is about an insurance adjuster who deals with dishonest clients and trying to keep costs down in order to do his job. A trailer for the show is available here and full episodes are available online here.
Wendy Lyon (Queen Serenity) will be appearing in three episodes of the new series Happy Town scheduled to begin airing this year. She plays Donna Friddle in this mystery show about “a deputy sheriff confronted with the unsolved mystery of a half-dozen child kidnappings over the past decade in a small town in Minnesota.” (description from IMDb). Filmed in southern Ontario, there is no information about the air date for Canada and the US, but it is slated to air in Hungary in February.
Emilie-Claire Barlow (Sailor Venus #2) will be performing at L’Astral in Montréal, Québec on Saturday, February 13 at 8pm. Event details and a link to purchase tickets are available here. She will also be performing on February 18th and 19th at the Midland Theatre in Newark, Ohio.

CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler spoke at a CBS session at the Television Critics Association on Saturday. She took a few jabs at NBC and their current dilemma with Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien. She acknowledged that CBS has plenty of new series to program, including Flashpoint and another Canada-United States co-production, The Bridge (which currently has 13 episodes waiting to air). The Bridge also has a connection to Sailor Moon, in star Toby Proctor (Tuxedo Mask #2). She simply said “We had a terrific fall launch… A lot of our shows are working so we had more content than we had real estate.” This does not bode well for fans of Flashpoint (which was co-created by Stephanie Morgenstern (Sailor Venus #1) and her husband Mark Ellis) or potential fans of The Bridge. Many critics are speculating that these shows are now going to be pushed even further to the Summer. We really hope that there is at least some space to show at least a few episodes of these shows during Spring Sweeps. Sorry fans, we wish we had better news but we don’t at this point. Keep writing to CBS! It is too early to tell when any new episodes of Flashpoint (set to resume production pretty soon) will air on CTV, or if they will be held back until CBS catches up. We also don’t know as of this writing whether CTV will jump the gun and air The Bridge ahead of time just like they did Flashpoint last fall.
